"Jeff Gerstmann is a farty pants", etc etc.

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Zelda is fun, but not an auto-classic. What happens when you get auto-classics? hrmm.... Mega-man comes to mind quickly... 80 games of crap, a few golden ones here and there. Nothing should be an auto-classic, I fear the worst could come of this where the creator rarely treads far from their original design plan that each game starts feeling the same (ummm... Mega-Man?). I haven't played this new Zelda, I wouldn't be offended by the score (some of my favorite games get disapointing scores... I don't find them just, but Lunar and Panzer Dragoon Saga aren't for everyone... and are flawed in many manners). I just hope to God that this bash Jeff/save Jeff debate breaks out.

Take what he says, weigh it against what other reviewers said, take their freaking article into consideration and then make a decission.

You know what I'd like... a review system similar to books. Not all book reviews follow this scheme, but a lot do. They describe the story, bring up the good points, discuss the bad points and sprinkle comments of praise/disgust through out the article. Never once though give it a number... or a star... or a mercury bar of any sort. Just a review.

A REVIEW!

It is like when someone asks me my favourite film. I look and tell them there is no way I could decide. They say a favourite warrants only one choice. I ask in return, well what mood am I in? If I am depressed and want to be cheered up I'll probably run to my library and grab Amelie. If I need some Sci-Fi alien bang bang I'll instinctly pull out the Alien series. If I want something freaky and dark I'll pick up Terry Gilliam... maybe Brazil, or Baron Munchausen.

If I had to give numbers to them Amelie might score an 8 and Alien a 9.5... Brazil probably gets a big 10. Do these numbers mean anything though? Would I watch Brazil any day over Amelie? NO. Does this number mean anything to you? A happy cheerful french film compared to a socialist satire portrayed in a bleek and ironic manner. The two movies have nothing to do with eachother... you'll probably hate Brazil, it is slow, the humour is dry and often hidden in nostalgia for Monty Python (a lot of visuals borrow greatly from Gilliams original cartoons done for 'the flying circus'). That 10 says nothing to you... it says the movie is a classic to a cult level, many will agree with that, but the majority of people will pass out watching it.

Screw these numbers... give me a review.

Wait, what was the highest ranked launch title out of 360, PS3, and Wii? I think, even if it is an 8.8, it would still be the highest imo. From what I've seen it beats the pants off all the other launch titles. I mean Resistance looks cool, but how could it get a higher score? Then again I haven't played either, so these are just based on videos and stuff and of course my personal taste...

I think it was perfect dark zero that got higher than 8.8 from GS. I remember watching the video review of it and laughing my ass off at how the aiming looked impossibly unresponsive.

Majoras mask I really liked, OOT was okay, and wind waker I liked.
i´d say OOT was way better than Majoras Mask..and the first one was not horrible in my opinion..anyway that only shows that opinions on the zelda games can be diffrent..some are problaby going to hate the new one and some will say its the best game ever.
