Super Mario Sunshine wasn't bad, but it had room for improvement with a few things and an HD work up could fix that. Zelda had that honor and it did fix the few little issues up nicely enough almost completely.
I was happy to find locally for $10 today the hard bound book guide for Wind Waker HD so I snapped it up. I can finish the game alone, just not find a lot of the weird stuff so it's a nice reference so I'll probably fire that up for the first time in a year or so as I fizzled out on it around the triforce swim and money grab to pay that twinkie fairy off to read the map locations off the scrolls.
I would really love to see if they did more Gamecube or even Wii losses since they were progressively less popular with actual game players stuff like Eternal Darkness, F-Zero GX, Starfox Assault, Metroid Prime Trilogy, and Wii games Xenoblade since it was so late along with the other two Pandora's Tower and Last Story. I also think more Gamecube stuff than Wii would be fitting really things like Chibi Robo, Ikaruga, Doshin the Giant which we got screwed out of (I own it), and those Mario Sports titles (Baseball, Golf, and Tennis.)

HD remake of the Galaxy games? Meh, I think they have better things to remake, it's not like the Galaxy games look bad. I don't even think Windwaker needed a remake either, but them fixing up some of the gameplay things was a major update that the game needed, so it worked out pretty well (on top of looking great, which I thought it looked really good in the first place). If they were remaking Wii games, it should be those RPGs that came out super late over in the US.
I do agree, Sunshine should get a remake. I believe people would likely give it a chance and experience the game for what it is, instead of what they wanted to be, which was Mario 64-2. Due to the fact that Sunshine was quite different from its predecessor, it got a lot of unnecessary hate. I certainly think it would sell well, and be very well received if people played it now.

That sums up my thoughts pretty well.Violent By Design wrote:I do agree, Sunshine should get a remake. I agree on that comment with Sunshine as well. It did have some bugs here and there, like that annoying pachinko like stage to get that shine that really sucked that could get cleaned up along with some camera and shadow issues too. There's clear room to improve it and being as old as it is now, it would be better accepted for sure.
Re: Wii-U thoughts so far
I don't remember liking Sunshine much... but can't really remember much about it period. I'd be open to giving it another go if they did give it a remaster.
Galaxy rocks though. Finally started up 2 the other day.

I loved Sunshine even in its day, so I would certainly buy the hell out of a remake on Wii U.
Since it was mentioned, Luigi's Mansion remains my favorite Gamecube game, so I'd obviously go for a remake of that.
And even though I know I'll be the only one, and will probably catch a ration of shit for saying this (come get me), I'd go for Twilight Princess too.

Remake Sunshine. Add motion controls. Profit. If you think the game would not benefit from motion controls, you are lying to yourself your family and friends.
This is one of those times when motion controls would vastly improve a game.

The only parts of Sunshine I liked where the parts without the Flash Liquidizer Ultra Dousing Device.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

They supposedly experimented with this while working on the WW remaster. I'd eat that up instantly.CFFJR wrote:And even though I know I'll be the only one, and will probably catch a ration of shit for saying this (come get me), I'd go for Twilight Princess too.

I wouldn't take a free Twilight Princess remaster. Well that's harsh, I'd take it, so I could sell it.
I think the FLUDD mechanic of that Mario game wasn't bad, just unique, it really was just another costume of sorts really. I can not even understand why someone would want them to jack the game up adding motion controls. They do nothing but hinder the flow of gameplay in platformers having to waggle a controller in the process of doing normal stuff.
