Viscera Cleanup Detail

Image

Videogame heroes and villains leave behind a messy trail of blood and entrails wherever they go, but few games answer the question of "Who's going to clean all this up?" That's what Viscera Cleanup Detail is here for. There's also a Shadow Warrior and Santa's Rampage version.

So it's like Marvel's Damage Control, the video game.

I am playing Alien Chaos 3D (3DS) at the moment. The gameplay is mostly a (quite fun) mix of Metal Slug and Robotron 2084, but the main character also has to "recycle" spent shell casings and parts from destroyed robots to obtain additional ammunition. Moreover, you charge your character's screen-clearing special attack by wiping down the marks left on the walls by exploding robots. Accordingly, it is the only game I have ever played where obtaining a high score (and survival) hinges on cleaning up the carnage your charcter leaves in his wake.

Title: Assraping Asschickens For Assjustice III

Platform: 3DS

Concept: Chickens have asses. Pitchforks fit there. Any questions?

Gameplay: The game is played in first-person, you see from the eyes of the pitchfork. Using the stylus you must guide this floating pitchfork into the ass of an unsuspecting chicken. If the chicken sees the pitchfork coming you lose the game. The whole game, it deletes itself from the cart. If successful, once impaled you spew the chicken into the ocean off of the pitchfork for maximum bonus points. This is done by screaming maniacally into the 3DS' microphone. The louder you scream the farther the chicken is shot into the cruel waves of the sea. I've thought a long time about this and I think Nintendo is just about on board.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

Not "silly" as much as "Pure, unadulterated Brick-Shitting Terror" but Five Nights at Freddy's. You play as a grossly underpaid night shift security guard at Freddy's Fazbear's Pizza, a totally-not-Chuck-E.-Cheese's. They forgot to tell you though that the singing animal animatronics come to life and wander around at night and if they get to you will kill you, and you only have a very limited power supply to last you the night. Gameplay consists of resource management and trying to learn each animatronic's AI and ambush patterns so they don't kill you. There's jump scares, but most of the terror is from "oh fuck where did the Rabbit go?" and "Oh Christ I'm at 10% power and its only 4am".

Although it is one of my favorite games of all time, the concept for Earthworm Jim is silly. Cow launching, pointless bosses, fighting lawyers in hell, bungeeing with a booger, and that's just the first few levels.
