You know that story, about how NASA spent millions of dollars developing this pen that writes in Zero G? Did you ever read that?
You know how the Russians solved the problem?
They used a pencil.

Yeah, Soulseek is the best because a lot of people use it and you can download full albums without all the BS like searching for each individual song with no guarantee that it's from the same rip. Plus, people share some really rare stuff on there.

Do they share other content besides music? Also whats the risk of being caught and sued? After hearing all the horror stories about the RIAA, I'm very cautious about my downloads.

(sorry couldn't resist  )

But yes, i also recommend soulseek. You might want to look at sharing forums that upload files to hosting sites like rapishare, megaupload etc. it's a good alternative. Lastly, you can always try google and download straight from sites, but you will have to know what are you doing and be extra careful.

You might find occasionally other types of files but it's mainly for music. Try bittorent, irc and sharing forums for other files.

I once downloaded some midget porn from Limewire. It was an infected file and it destroyed all of my computer's files.

Still, it was totally worth it.

ok if you like the way Limewire feels
get FROSTWIRE, its the same software! but no MALWARE! it connects to the same file network as limewire so its the same crap.

I personally use Soulseek.

if your into alternative muisc, like punk or indie rock, soulseek is a haven. users on the network share their music collections, ive found RARE hardcore demos that i thought i would never hear in my life on soulseek, if you use it right and the right people are online you can find almost anything (musicly that is)
