Just got it today. Just doing a quick post with my first impressions and I may post a more detailed review later.

Just as everybody has said prior, it looks AMAZING on the big screen. I played around with the filters, but in the end I just left them off. Some games look better with them on, but they all look great with them off.

The controller isn't THAT bad. Maybe it's because I'm used to using a variety of controllers with emulators on my computer, but this controller doesn't seem as bad as people are making it sound. Is it a great controller? No. Will I use it? Not really. That's why they give the option to use the old controllers. I do wish they had somehow made it to where I could use the systems' official wireless controllers though.

Death Grips: No major gripes here. The Genesis/MD was a little tight, but nothing major. However, I ran into one big issue and so far it's my only complaint:

Yoshi's Island. Holy crap is it hard to get that game to fit into it's slot. A lot of times only half of the cart goes in, but the game still loads. If I manage to push it down all the way, then it's freaking hell trying to pull the game back out.

That's it! Was totally worth the money and wait. Now if you'll excuse me... I have some games to play. :D

Cool, man. Glad Amazon finally made good on the rest of their pre-orders.

I think all the games with enhancement chips are gonna fit a little tighter. The boards are a little longer from what I recall and they have those two extra contact areas on both sides.

I didn't have any trouble fitting any enhancement-chipped SNES games myself but I haven't tried Yoshi's Island yet.

Maybe I'll finally get around to beating that game.

Good to know because I have that, but I've been playing Super Mario Advance 3 instead. No issues with that cartridge. Heck, even my Genesis slot loosened up considerably, it's no problem anymore.

So far I've tested out all my games and have only run into a couple issues.

The Yoshi's Island death grip. None of the other games/slots give me hell, but Yoshi's Island is still a pain to put in/take out. I even did it a few times trying to loosen it up. At one point I thought I broke something...

The only game I've encountered that has issues is "Mario vs. Donkey Kong" for GBA. It's still very playable, but every now and then I get weird graphical glitches. (e.g. random sprites in odd places)

My daughter spent the night at my dad's house last night, so I got a full night of gaming in. I felt like a friggin' kid again. I had no idea how late I stayed up playing games that were collecting dust. Also, GBA games on the big screen is awesome.

I went ahead and uploaded the fast boot patch. It works like a charm and cut the boot time from about 6 seconds to 1 second. This thing just keeps getting better. Honestly I don't even know what improvements I would want from future updates now. Ability to apply English translation patches on the fly to my Japanese Famicom games? Honestly I am running out of ideas, this thing rocks already.

Yeah for all the Facebook whining and moaning Hyperkin did a good job of quickly ironing out most of the bugs.

Can anyone confirm? This could swing a future purchase for me as I refuse to play my carts in 50hz borked-vision. (All my classic consoles are modded with a 60hz switch)
My Snes took a hammering in transit and now exists as a functioning skeleton so may need to be replaced in time.

Yes there is an option to force 50 or 60hz as well as the ability to select region.
