And the unholy Racketboy hordes want to buy some black metal, right?
I don't know about "buying" it. Maybe slathering myself in goat's blood and burning down a church, but paying for it?
BoneSnapDeez wrote:Seriously though, I like black metal... So I'm keeping all the black metal. :lol: What I'm dumping is mostly punk/metalcore/emo. I'll have it all listed in a couple of weeks, it's all in boxes now.
Oh, so you're selling shit like Deftones then.

Seriously though, give it a shot. You might find a buyer.

I'm not familiar with Spotify but I have become a digital music junkie myself. Since 2010 or so I've only purchased about 5 CDs per year, and even when I do I typically just rip them to iTunes and use the actual discs as backup.
Ive paid for Pandora for 8 years, but this was my last month doing so. The price hike and alternatives like Spotify made me end my time with them. Spotify is like Pandora, but if you are on a pc you can pick individual songs to listen to, or you can listen to it at random just like Pandora. And the collection is just massive. For example: the Chieftains is one of my favorite bands, but they have over 60 full albums. On Spotify they have over half of their albums uploaded and I can listen to my hearts content.

Since Pandora and easy digital purchasing became viable, my cd buying has gone from a couple a month to three in the last decade. But some years ago someone got smart and started bundling digital versions of albums if you buy the vinyl. So my vinyl collection only continues to grow - like Sunday when the Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack drops. That way I have records for home and digital for on the go. Simply brilliant.

I could never just use spotify. I would have so many gaps in my music. Youtube has more but still a lot of my music isn't up.

@BoneSnapDeez
If you have trouble selling here or online, FYE gives a pretty good amount compared to other stores. If they say they can't buy some ask if they are a penny buy store. Select stores can buy a lot more product back. Usually if they have vinyl or are a large store.

Well, there's always Grooveshark. It is a streaming service of... *cough* questionable legality, but you can get pretty much any song you want on it, even game OSTs!

So you stream enthusiasts don't really care if the quality of your music is closer to what you get on the radio than to what it sounds like in an uncompressed format?

When I listen to music on my PC/laptop speakers, streams and MP3s are fine. When I listen to music on a stereo, on headphones, or in my car, a CD trumps any lossy format by a mile.

I've literally never been able to discern any difference in sound quality in any format :oops:
Unless, like, the radio is static-y or my record is scratched/not clean, they all sound the same to me. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

I work at Office Depot, and a while back, they started a promotion to partner with some big-name boy band. Shockingly, this has yet to translate to an increase in ink cartridge and storage crate sales amongst the teen girl demographic.

Honestly I perfer staples as a guy. For some odd reason depot and max just don't have the same consistency around here for decent customer service :roll:

and on topic of spotify that may seem cheaper but I'd rather to "technically" own my music in some form...
