You see this little dr mario like pill oval next to the 4 icons in the top right (to the left of them) and it fills up yellow as it continues to load.
Ok so I got the official 1.6 update today then I saw your post on DP about the new 2.0b release. GBA games are loading up much faster. I noticed the new progress bar on the top and figured that it was some sort of meter showing the actual load progress, but the game will start before that meter fills. Bravo Hyperkin! Plus, with all the save issues finally settled, I don't think I'll encounter many problems anymore.

Also, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo is recognized now! But, I noticed that unknown GBA games will still load at regular speed. Case in point -- Ultimate Card Games still comes up as Unknown and did not load as fast as everything else on the GBA I tried. That might be something to pass along.

Don: I think he said the other day that when the quit load of games is put into place the quit boot of the system would too. I'll believe it when I see it but I think that was the intent. Things like these aren't bug fixes they're convenience fixes so I think they get different priority.

Exedexes that's interesting and yeah I can message him about that. I did hit a little snafu with my Qwak cart, but since it's aftermarket parts I'm not sure what to think. It wasn't writing saves back to that cart, but I haven't the time to test others (legit games) right now or this evening.

It works well. I tried it out and played some Shinobi, Golden Axe, R-Type, and TransBot.

Awesome. A PBC is on my "want" list but it'll be awhile. A little out of my price range at the moment but I'll have one someday.

Yeah, I can report no problems at all with the PBC. That's how I've been digging into Golvellius since I can save instead of remembering the horrid passwords.

I was playing the Master System port of Rastan which has an infinite continues cheat if you play it on the Master System but not on the Genesis due to you having to put in the code at the Master System's start-up screen.

Thanks to the Retron 5 though that code is part of the cheat database so now I can actually make some progress.

Keep a watch on some eBay auctions I've seen a few end around the $30 mark. There's also the new ones like the PowerBase Mini you're not married to the idea of owning an original for collection's sake.

The big bonus with these being that they'll fit in a Genesis 2, but there's no card slot.

Still... it's like half the cost of what actual Master Systems are going for on eBay, all for a glorified pin adapter.

I played a bit of Rastan a few weeks ago. Did you enjoy the new improved FM synth soundtrack over the original chiptunes? I found the music to be very good, love me some FM sound on the Master System carts that support it.

Hey guys, check out facebook for Hyperkin.

They just made the quick boot routine I've been mailing people a public release for all to enjoy, and also the release of the 2.0b1 with the fast copy of the games is up for public usage too.

I feel like some are better and some are worse. Rastan is one of the better examples. The PSG music for that game is kind of earsplitting.

It'd be nice to have an option to choose though I gather this is low priority for Hyperkin and honestly I'm pleased the FM is there at all.
