Funny I always liked it too, but now after hearing that opinion that she's annoying it makes me laugh a little when I do play it at my dads.

-Skyward Sword is one of my favorite Zelda games of all time.
-I prefer the Tales of games to Final Fantasy in just about every way.

Skyward is definitely a underrated game in my opinion. I enjoy it, while it doesn't allow as much interconnected exploration as previous games it gets a bad rap just because people forget it's a prequel so the land isn't as developed as it is now and looks so much more different too. And i also have to partially agree with the tales thing, I felt like i could really just jump in to phantasia more so than ff 1. It may just be because I'm used to being able to go back and ask where I needed to go and always had issues with really getting the directions right(no matter the version)

Yeah, It is a little annoying, it's just that a lot of people talk about it like some kind of game breaking deal.

Yeah, I will admit that the game does have it's flaws. The biggest being that there is next to no exploration compared to other Zelda games. Before it came out, I was hoping for Wind Waker tier exploration. But the thing that makes it my second favorite of the series are the characters and the plot of the game. It's the first Zelda game where I felt so attached to all the characters. And the dynamic between Link and Zelda was by far my favorite. Also, Groose; Groose=favorite character in any Zelda game hands down.

You hit the nail on the head there about the characters. There are so many incredibly memorable character sin the game and Groose is definitely up there. There seemed to be a lot more personality with everyone and the with the world itself. People complain about the controls and at no time did I ever have an issue with them. It is tough to topple Majora's Mask, but this may be my third favorite. (Majora's Mask being 1. and Link's Awakening being 2.)

It's my second favorite behind Wind Waker, with Majora's Mask taking up a close third. And another thing I forgot to mention is the sound track. Skyward Sword easily has my favorite sound track.

I actually really want to try the cdi games at some point and at least give them a shot.

-I've never been able to enjoy any of the Halo Games, they just don't do it for me for whatever reason.
-The Wii U gamepad was a really good idea, and it can create some very immersive and interesting gameplay, it's just the lack of third party exclusive games that make good use of it that is killing the console.
-The current generation of consoles were the least impressive generation I've ever experienced. There wasn't the giant leap forward that previous generation consoles had from their predecessors.
-I hate it when people take a game like smash bros, or pokemon and split up the characters into tiers, and then define a small hand full of tactics and strategies as the only good ones out of the thousands and thousands of possibilities.

YES! YOU UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING! HUG ME!
Funny I kinda think the same way too(except the one about consoles but I guess I went from wii to ps4...which is a big freaking jump and better than using the wiimote for some games since I never bothered to get the actual regular controller until recently with the classic controller. Which still not a good controller but a step up when playing zelda on wii vc before I got my boxed copy)
