It basically boils down to this:
Mandating a payment on insurance for millions of people who are all ready strapped is not the answer.
Did wages go up to offset this mandated insurance? I don't think so. The federal minimum wage hasn't budged since this became law.
You can basically cut back and cut back and cut back until eventually you can't anymore, and you become broke. And what good is a broke work force?

They have escaped into the mansion where they thought it was safe, yet.

They're good for working. And isn't that all the elite want from them?jvalentine98 wrote:And what good is a broke work force?

As opposed to the US where every human can kill you.flex wood wrote:Where almost every wild animal can kill you.emwearz wrote:Because I live in Australia.
Having to pay for healthcare is beyond crazy. It's punishing the poor, while the rich can afford to eat healthily and take the best medication. I sure hope we don't scrap the NHS in the UK.

Thank you. I find that most opposition to the the new law is based on a misunderstanding of its terms. That said, I do not think that the law is perfect, but I would like to see it move our country closer to providing basic health care for all of its citizens.marurun wrote: *educated, well-reasoned discussion of "Obamacare" *

I believe injury by 5200 is covered in Australia. Be wary of the CDI, however. I'm pretty sure injury by CDI is considered an act of god and you may be on your own trying to get help if that happens.BRIK wrote:I have no insurance, but I'm glad I wouldn't have to worry if I was mualed by a rabid kangaroo if or an Atari 5200 suddenly fell on my head.

Admittedly though some of it did have to be changed before implementation, such as requiring religious organizations to offer services that they opposed. Parts of it were rushed and not well thought out, which is why we're seeing so many revisions post-release.prfsnl_gmr wrote:Thank you. Because of obamacare my insurance went up an extra $100 every 2 weeks..Razzmatazz wrote:

I'm sorry but why exactly should I as the middle class be "punished" and forced to pay extra?
Because of Obamacare we had to get rid of Cigna because it was too expensive company wide thanks to Obamcare. Tired of this shit
