I haven't been able to get myself to play a game for the last week. Sometimes It starts to feel like a chore trying to finish up my backlog. The irony is that I'm probably going to have to pick up a new game to motivate myself to start playing. :P

As my first semi-major purchase in months, I decided to replace my old, $5 second-hand knockoff mouse with a decent gaming mouse. So, I plugged it in, set it up, and started a game of TF2. Wait... why can I actually hit my targets now? Why am I actually getting points? What is this sorcery you call "aiming"?!

Its crazy the difference in having a regular cheap mouse and a gaming mouse. I use one of the Logitechs that has weights in it and I am in love with it.

I have a Logitech G400 for home and an Apple Magic Mouse for the road and love them both. It's always nice having the right tool for the job.

It also helps to turn off mouse acceleration. I had a friend who was "awful". He really wasn't, he just didn't know how much of a difference that actually makes. Now he's one of the better CS players I know.

People who have not played Marvelous: Mōhitotsu no Takarajima are missing out on a truly hidden gem.

I agree. It is an amazingly fun game that plays like a mash-up of Ninja Gaiden (NES) and Tetris Attack (SNES).

Oh dang! I didn't even make the connection from just watching the gameplay, but the platforming does look extremely Ninja Gaiden.

Playstation. I have read that it is the best version of the game (and I certainly enjoyed that version when I played it several years ago).
