Hyperkin has said early August for many of the Amazon pre-orders; one was reported today on their Facebook with an April 12th order date. I'm happy to see our members starting to get them too. The wait will be worth it, I promise! Just make sure to get them updated to 0.2.2 and 1.5!

The only concern that I have from here onwards will be the longevity of the hardware.

We all know the stoutness of the original consoles, but this has a long way to go.

I just hope these don't crap out in some capacity within a year or so.

Mine was waiting home for me today! I guess the girlfriend wanted to surprise me with it. Her plan worked.

I guess yours was very imminent eh? Remember to run the 0.22 update first, then the 1.5 or it'll psych you out thinking it's broken. :)

Actually don't put 1.5 on there, get the test build I linked the other day which is 1.51 that fixes the GBA SRAM/FERAM erasing/corruption problem.

Thanks. Yeah v.22 was already on the system. When I tries to download the firmware update the retron5.in website kept crashing. Sounds like that was a good thing though. Was the test link you posted before the one that also fixed the power up time (.5 seconds as opposed to the 5 seconds)?

No that for some reason still hasn't been added as far as I understand.

IF you check your messages you'll find the link to the quickboot. He didn't want this as a public link, wish I could though.

I played of few hours of Final Fantasy III (VI) and had some fun with it. Copied the .sav (the SNES SRAM file the retron makes, renamed them to .srm on Windows) and snapshot files to an SD card and over to my PC and I can't get them to run on any emulator (To try out FF3 with a few hacks) and I can't get any save or savestate from the pc to the retron or the other way around. Anyone know a way to get them to work together?
