Right now enies lobby....just got past that filler stuff that recapped why each member joined and everything to show why they are trying to save robin sorta....I'm going to try and go on a marathon tommorrow and get up to 320 if I can help it...(since I restarted when I started watching again quite a few months ago, and luckily i sorta remembered where I was when I started again a few days ago...now that i have my own roku(w/funi) I'll be watching more of it, and fairy tail and probably a few others)

Ennies lobby is pretty fucking epic. And <3 Franky.

But you have about another 100-150 episodes till you can get to about the point where Unlimited World R takes place :/

Well then unless the dub catches up(sorry but I like being able to multi-task when watching anime if I can help it and can't honestly do that with subs *sigh* ah well....will nice to be able to pace myself once i get caught up ha ha)

Omg dub . Sorry I just find the voices are always really off.

For example when Disney films get translated into various languages they find similar voices, but with anime it seems they just don't care. (at least we did get the correct music here, though all the names were changed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dC7jS-adxPQ )

I searched it on youtube and Franky's American voice is really off and many of his jokes won't work with such a hard voice :/ (non-spoiler case in point : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6b8HAemEHc )

I've watched both and honestly I think luffy sounds like a 12 year old in the japanese voices o_O (first time I've ever said that....) but honestly at least this time it's not as bad as the 4kids dub ha ha(that I can admit was terrible)

It's because his voice actor is a woman. It's a better solution to always make him sound young and cheerful, since the anime is going to have a running time of about 20+ years.

I guess we have deferring opinions on this matter . And yeah fair enough about the multi tasking thing.

Though imo you should really start reading the manga. The anime has poor animation and way way way too much filler scenes (fodder fights, extras talking and saying pointless things, stuff like that)

Well with the upcoming game Civilization: Beyond Earth, you have a pretty decent blend with the faction leaders in terms of ethnicity. Of course, then people complain Firaxis is being racist against whites, going as far as to say "none of the other continents matter/they're shoehorning just to win points with the liberal crowd". The same people come every civ expansion tend to always bitch and moan when a non-euro civ gets included (jokes about "playable barbarians", playing gatekeeper and claiming 'this civ has no culture/historical significance/cities/etc.') but will bitch when their subset of a european country that only existed for 30 years or something doesn't get included. Or when they don't include nazi germany. One or the other.

But its especially frustrating because this game is supposed to take place in the far future. God forbid we entertain the thought of a presently dominant country going into decline, or another non-Western country rise into power within the span of 400 years from now.
