Pretty much. Our most civilized, progressive areas are basically "Smokey & The Bandit", and the suburbs are basically "Deliverance". If you go out into the country, however, it is pretty much a cross between "Conan: The Barbarian" and "Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome"...which is actually pretty awesome (and provides a great excuse to just "get away from civilization" during the weekends).
