Well if one thing holds true, video game forums are full of teenage boys/young men who are liberals and want everything handed to them, and everyone else, by the government.

Piss off with this, no one is advocating for the government to pay all their bills or for everything to be "handed to them and everyone else, by the government" in this thread. I mean, education is something that governments already pay for in many ways, so making suggestions about how they might improve on that, how they might fund it better, how they might allow more to benefit from their existing funding, etc. is not some kind of radical leftist call for a socialist utopia. If anything, it's about holding the government accountable for their present spending habits!

If I were cruel, I might suggest your apparent reading comprehension problems probably had a lot more to do with your "decision" not to get a higher degree than some kind of careful thinking about the costs and benefits of pursuing further education
