Best Game Sack video ever! We want moar mods. Keep uo the excellent work, it was very fun to watch, informative and with loads of humor as well. Thank you for these free videos. You really deserve to get your own show on tv.
I've modded:
Saturn 60hz mod.
ps1 mod chip
Dreamcast controller port repairs
My Panasonic 50" plasma, I modded it with stereo output tulips.
Arcade cabinets, auto fire, stereo mods, etc
Joystick to jamma converters.
Scart RGB to JAMMA converter
Non-jamma to jamma pcb's
And lots of repairs
Some failed mods that were never finished:
A Logitech wheel. Tried to change the buttons, but the wires are so short and thin and a nightmare to get through the steering rack. blech.

Re: Console Modding - Game Sack
I successfully repaired my first GameCube that had a failing GPU with a brand new system board that even had the component-out I needed.

I've never performed a console mod, but I've done repairs on 'dead' consoles I bought for cheap and brought them back to life.
Fanboys Forced to Switch Sides - Game Sack
Most of us have our biases, even if we say we don't. We have our favorite systems and maybe even our favorite companies which we look, errr... favorably upon. Anyone can argue that hating a platform because it's not your favorite is irrational and they'd be right. There are fantastic games on the vast majority of popular consoles but many of us will always say "yeah that's a great console but ______ is still better because ______ and that's a fact you can't argue and I will argue with anyone who feels differently!!!"
What games should we give each other next to try to turn the tide?

How many people will be disappointed that Dave didn't like Chakan? Two? Maybe three?
Glad to see you give Mega Man X another chance. I think it's an undeniably great game and I have to roll my eyes every time I hear a fellow Sega fan downplay it.
I'm also glad Dave got into Kid Chameleon. That seems to be a really polarizing game though I tend to like it for what it is. A competent platformer with a neat gimmick.
The Faceball segment was hilarious.

I'm glad you gave Mega Man X another chance. Mega Man X2 is way better I felt since you had the X-Hunters you had to deal with to get Zero's Body back so you have a bit more side quests. X3 was really hard I felt while X4 is by far my favorite in the series since you can choose X or Zero at the beginning and keep them, each getting different powers and they play differently. X5 wasn't as fun as X4 since you had the time limit but after that the series is dead to me since X6 and beyond wasn't suppose to be made.

I always love when people say things like "Wasn't supposed to be made" about a sequel.Konacha wrote:I'm glad you gave Mega Man X another chance. Games exist to make money for their creators. As long as a particular IP is selling, they will likely continue to pump out sequels until the cows come home. Especially if that IP is owned by a particular company that rhymes with "Slap Tom"
Edit: To quote the incomparable (and venerable) bash.org?

You should do a direct comparison video, where each one of you plays the exact same game on the other console (earthworm jim, lion king, ect.)

I found it funny how you went from a game that had a secondary character with its own level and health (Alisia Dragoon) to another that had the *same* feature (Magic Sword).

Well in this case it was straight from Inafune's mouth, even if it was Capcom's franchise to do with as it pleased.KalessinDB wrote:I always love when people say things like "Wasn't supposed to be made" about a sequel.
Rushing out X6 even partially screwed over the in-progress Mega Man Zero which had to have sloppy writing edits since X5 was no longer the end of the story that it was intended to be.
