Personally I'm not a big fan of either game. I've always liked the Tekken/Soul Calibur type of fighters better. I posted the link mostly because I think it is interesting when gaming is discussed outside of the usual gaming circles. I have heard MMA fighters talk about games before but it usually when the UFC has a video game coming out, or they talk about playing one of the modern FPSs. Not too many talk about retro games or having a cabinet made with 500 games.

Did he bash the new UFC game or did he lose the opportunity?

It would've been great. Besides, it would've given fodder to Dana White, who would say that Bellator is so irrelevant that won't ever be able to make a game.

Good lord I thought I was the only one. Never could play SF to save my life, and while I enjoyed MK as a teenager for being over-the-top (still do, to some small degree, a guilty pleasure I guess), I was never any good at it.

Tekken/Soul Calibur I'm still only slightly better than a button masher (as my humbling experience against cha cha and some of his friends taught me), but I at least enjoy playing the games a lot more.

Could be a matter of age. When SF2 and MK dropped in the arcade, they were revolutionary. People were calling their friends with "You won't believe this game! You've got to come down to the arcade and play it!".

Always liked rampage since his pride days but the sport has passed him by. And Dana would be right saying that lol, no one gives a shit about Bellator.

Oh, I remember. I'm 32, and I went down there and got my ass kicked on the regular

I dunno, the 3d fighters I started playing in late HS/early college just clicked better.

It's the opposite for me. I'm decent at the 2D fighters but I end up brainlessly button mashing the 3D ones.

Yeah but Bellator just got a bit more interesting since the ousting of Rebney. Coker did decent with strikeforce as far as talent and good shows. They have already picked up a few good guys since Coker took over (Paul Daley, Melvin Manhoef). and it will also likely make it easier for people like Eddie Alvarez to sign with the UFC, as Coker always had a decent relationship with them.
