"Jeff Gerstmann is a farty pants", etc etc.

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Everyone needs to read this. Well, maybe not you guys, but pretty much everyone at GameFAQs could benefit from it. Gspot's Zelda review pointed out the flaws which I had already been noticing or worrying about after studying into the game for the past 2 years. Because of this, I trust what the chunky one said, despite having not played the game. I don't see what the big deal is. At the end of the video review, it even screams "GGGREAT!" regarding the score. You just can't please fanboys...

IGN gave it a 9.5 so blah :o
In seriiousness, it has some flaws, mainly in the sound and texture department. It's a gamecube game and it shows. Thats really its only problem. If they just upped the quality of some of the textures and actually put more time into the music, it prolly would have been the best zelda game ever. Then again, I really don't like Ocarina of time that much, preferring the what I find more entertaining oracle of ages and oracle of seasons game on the GBC, so obviously I'm just weird

I didn't read the whole thing, but at least the first few paragraphs only really apply to fanboy kiddies.

Personally, I DO read reviews so I know what games I should get and what I shouldn't.

Same here.

I admit there have been a small bunch of reviews over the years which missed the mark by a mile, and probably deserved wide-spread mockery, but this just isn't one of them.

yeah it´s kinda strange to bash a reviewer for giving a low score since none of the complaints were from people that have actually played the game and even if it was out it would still be pretty dumb to insult the reviewer..and 8.8 as a score isnt low to begin with.

Not to mention, I read that Zelda is the 2nd highest scored launch title from all of Wii, PS3, and 360 combined, based on GS's scores. How is that not impressive?

exacly...it seems since its a zelda game the score should automatilcally be a 10.

Not in my book... I've never been a big Zelda fan -- to much wandering around....

While the very first was horrible, imo, I really loved lttp...at the time. Now, it doesn't catch my eye as much.
Majoras mask I really liked, OOT was okay, and wind waker I liked. Also, those fan boys, jeeze. They let their video pride get in the way of rationality. For example, nintendo fans that mock sony without a logical reason. Everything in sony sucks they say. The only thing to back them up is sales. But why are sales so high? Cause their stuff is so cheap. makes sense. But more sales doesn't make their stuff better, it's just more spread. Sony has a Ton of games on both the playstation and ps2, many of which are very good. The gamecube, being targeted at kids, like most of nintendo products, has alot of childish games. The ps2 and xbox, are a much more mature choice. Not saying Gamecube is the worst, but I'm not saying it is the best either. So you nintendo fans, get it through your head, you can like nintendo... but also like sony, microsoft, and all those other companies that we're wiped out by, who else, NINTENDO, sony and microsoft.
