Will a Moded Jap Saturn read Pal backups ?

Hi.Can you please answer my question , cause right now i want to buy a moded japanese console and i wanted to ask.Thanks

It can but you need a 4in1 Action Replay cart to overcome the region setting. But I'm not sure if the cartridge slot in Jap models differ from U.S and PAL models. Even with it modded it still doesn't break the region setting. The other option is ISO modification. The source of the region mayhem is this letter (1 byte) that tells the saturn what country its from. It is located in the header of the iso image, and can be manually modified using any hex editor. The simple way to change it to your region would be using a program called "Saturn Region Converter", very easy to use, just select your iso, it will tell you what country it is currently assigned to, and you can change it (dont forget to click "patch").
