Why do celebs usually only date other celebs
There are so many fine women out there that are not celebs but why do they always feel their mate should be another celeb.

I think a lot of the time it's because they meet on jobs. After spending months filming and being around each other they end up together. Just like everyone else who meets in school or work. Or through friends. Only famous people have famous friends. If I ever get "Famous" I think I'll still date non famous people. I'd like to marry a business woman who can help me with taxes and cleaning million dollar bills.

It's probably because they 'get' the lifestyle.
If you were dating somebody famous would you like your private life spread across the news paper. Not because of who you are but more because of who they are.
Other famous people are used to that and know how to deal with the lifestyle.
Plus it's just like Nathan said, most people tend to date people in their social circles. If you know a famous person then chances are you'd known them since before they were famous or you are famous too.

Also, celebs have agents who know that two celebs dating increases the popularity of both. They get all over tabloids, and it's just an excuse for us to be told their names a few dozen times more.NathanBarnatt wrote:I think a lot of the time it's because they meet on jobs. And of course, the lifestyle goes to their heads, and I'm sure many of them look at common folk as ants, and thus, unimpressive and unattractive.

It all boils down to the ol' mighty dollar, but doesn't it always? Britney Spears being the exception because she fucking wacked.

It's a smart marketing move, more press coverage, more awareness, higher box-office. Also it's probaly because of the security factor, if you're a celeb dating another celeb you can be secure that they truly like you for who you are. That they're not after you for you're money or fame.
