I've been talking to a guy from Craigslist about buying a Nintendo store display. He's a flea market reseller and let me look through his barn today. Me and my Girlfriend got there and the display was twice the size I thought it would be so I passed on it for $200. He said that he was going to put it in his flea market booth instead for $300 and says that he could make a lot more because gamers/collectors are stupid. He sells $100 SNES and PS2s in his booth :x . I have a picture of it somewhere, never thought I'd be digging through the guy's house.

Anyway, all he had there was a box of Atari crap that he wouldn't sell until "he checked how much it goes for". The only thing worth buying was I found a CIB Cadillacs and Dinosaurs for Sega CD and my Girlfriend found a Ocarina of Time/Master Quest disc only. He asked for 10 bucks so that's what I paid. I thought his place was going to be a goldmine, but it was a waste of $5 in gas.

Sounds like a flaming idiot who probably thinks inflated eBay BIN prices are the fair market value.

A good sign you probably don't understand a specific market is when you call your customers stupid, right in front of one of them no less.

Won this lot on eBay about a month ago. Was pretty sure the guy was going to flake on me, but he finally shipped it out 19 days after I paid. Just glad it got here especially since he sent it Media mail and it looks like it did end up being inspected. Glad that the postal service sent it on anyways and didn't decide to charge me extra postage.

Anyways $16.50 total after shipping.

The Punisher is a surprisingly decent game for being an LJN game. It is alot like Cabal or Dynamite Duke.

It's actually a pretty good time to shop on eBay. Thanks to issues with Google, the hacking, their own search system fudging up quite frequently, and some resellers basically boycotting the site there isn't nearly as much buyer traffic as there used to be. So if you weed through the auctions there are some really good deals to be had especially on game lots.

It's a coin toss as to whether or not people will ship the stuff out when it ends on the low end though :P. At least with buyer protection the worst case scenario is your cash is tied up for a few weeks.

Thanks for the tips Fragems.

Also, I was wondering about that Crystal Palace game. Is it any good? I've never heard of it.

The retro store here has Metal Warriors for $87. Should I buy it? I hate to spend that much on video games, but I think this is an exception. :?
