Modded Wii - SD size upgrade?

My Wii has been modded, runs homebrew, has emulators, I've got a harddrive hooked up, and everything works great. However, I did not partition my HDD when I set it up, so it is used only for back-ups. The SD card is used for all emulators, roms, and a whole bunch of VC games. AND IT IS GETTING VERY FULL.

Question: If I copy the contents of this 2gb SD card to a 16gb SD card, will this new, larger SD card function like the 2gb? Will the Wii not even know what happened? Or will this not work at all? I have no idea. I assume (and hope) that this will just "work".

Does anyone know if this will this work? Thanks in advance.

You shouldn't have any issues with your plan unless you have some very old homebrew that won't accept SDHC.

I do believe that some of the exploits (smash stack being one) won't work with SDHC, but since you already have the Homebrew Channel I don't see that as being a problem. When my Wii was getting more use I had a variety of cards I used for testing, ranging from 2GB to 32GB, and multiple times I moved all the files from one to another.

^^^same response. Have moved files from one SD card to another, and as long as the homebrew can use the new card, everything should be fine.

Thanks for the replies. What about the VC games on the SD? As long as it's the Wii they were purchased on, I assume they will also work no problem?

I believe to mod the wii at first you need a NON HC card but after it is modded you can can move the stuff to a larger card, I think the max size is 32 GB that is what I use.
