Escape from LA is terrible. You can somewhat take Escape from NY seriously. You can't take LA seriously, at all. It's just dumb. To make it even worse, the plot isn't even different. It's the same plot as the first movie. But a bunch of jokes are shoved in for no reason. And some seriously stupid stuff happens.

If you've seen it and you like the camp that is there, cool. But if you've never seen it, and you like Escape from New York ... I don't know if you should watch it or not.

I guess I went in just expecting camp and fun so I just thought it was just 'not quite as good' but not terrible. I agree it isn't the classic that the first is.

Forgot to mention I watched Badges of Fury the other day.

It felt like they were trying to compete with Cop Out for worst cop comedy ever  .

Just saw Lucy. And, at the same time, discovered that my local AMC theatre, with leather recliners, is $5 matinees. Why exactly have I not been going there on all of my days off again?

Anyway, I thought it was a great movie, though entirely not what I expected from the trailer.
And reminded me a fair bit of Akira, though to be fair I haven't watched Akira in over fifteen years now.

My Dad saw it last week and said it was good up until the last 10 minutes or so when it got a little to crazy for him.

That last 10 minutes or so is exactly what evokes the thought I put behind the spoiler most strongly. Really makes the movie more of a thinker.

That is an accurate portrayal of events for the city of Detroit. Escape from New York is one you should brush up on, REPO. It has some helpful "life hacks" for living in New York.

I am Groot.

I'd say this was the most fun of any of the movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I look forward to seeing the Guardians again in the next cinematic adventure (probably Avengers 3 unless they do Guardians 2).

I haven't seen GotG yet, but someone spoiled the post-credits scene for me and I'm mad now.
