My Long Overdue Game Room post. Over 3000 games.

Cool and the additional info makes sense - thanks for not taking it as an affront as well.
I've read the insurance thread before (and had my own awhile back when I was looking how to best insure mine after some flooding). The extra info is helpful.

Dang it logan, your setup has convinced me to UGC my NES games. I was fine not doing that, but NOOOO your setup had to be so beautiful.

Have you seen the clamshell NES cases from Stoneagegamer? They are about 2x teh price - but appear to be well made and don't require any modification like UGC's do for NES carts.

They look too much like Block Buster Rental boxes for me, if they came in clear I would be more interested in them. Also, like you said, double the price. I need like 600 of them. Though Stoneage has one great advantage, in that for an extra .20cents they will do all the printing and sizing for you
Re: My Long Overdue Game Room post. Over 3000 games.
As you guys can tell only a certain percentage of my snes/nes games are in UGC's I did that years ago when i had every game I THOUGHT I wanted and was going to stop picking uo games. I actually regret doing it. As you can see I have more loose carts for nes/snes then ones in cases. It does look nice, but if you ask me it's a waste of money unless you have just extra cash laying around and want a project. If i had a ton of money to waste and MORE SPACE I'd do the rest.

Nice collection
your set up is eerily similar to mine!!!!!
Another UGC'er joins the club! and to those hating on the "modding" of the UGC to fit NES games, with a proper dremel it takes like 10-15 seconds per case, totally worth the time. (I've only ever irreparably cracked one case out of 200+)

Awesome, awesome collection. I commend you for acquiring it.
You would hate my collection. I have nearly as many games, but no room to keep them. (I live in a 1800 sq. ft. bungalow...) Accordingly, most of them are stored in closets or, in some cases, my easily-accessible attic. My wife has guaranteed, however, that if we move or exapand our current home, I will have a dedicated space for my collection.

yea modding the cases for NES took about 15 seconds a piece with my tool. It makes a mess though. But after it's all fancy!

I found everything beyond awesome, till I noticed how small the room is and that you have everything hooked up in there. It's a bit depressing man
. I love the idea of it as a storage room, but not to game in it.
Other than that, your collection is amazing, everything is so tidy and the UGC look amazing. I'm also happy you didn't have to pay an arm and a leg for them, cause it's obvious you just love the hobby for the sake of it.
By the way, is that a PAL copy of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 among your Mega Drive (sorry, 'Genesis') games?
