Thanks! At least S rank in all but chapter 3 (probably A+)... I wasn't paying attention during the run.
So I looked up the required scores to achieve the S (and S++) ranks again:

Ch1-- 3,000,000 (3,400,000) ...[I had 3.8m]
Ch2-- 4,600,000 (5,000,000) ...[4.8m]
Ch3-- 5,000,000 (5,400,000) ...[4.6m]
Ch4-- 5,600,000 (6,000,000) ...[6.1m]
Ch5-- 4,600,000 (5,000,000) ...[4.8m]


And still not sure about 30m... Gotta stop screwing up at the chapter 5 bosses at least; not to mention the end chase...(You get 500k for every remaining life. So not dying is huge.) I can do better in each individual chapter. It's just doing it all at the same time...PLUS not dying! There's ALWAYS something that goes wrong!

Was hoping to crack into my DC scoreboard again before month's end...Didn't expect to top it! And only about 600,000 short of my all time high I got on the Gamecube way back when...

Chapter 1 was nearly perfect. Just failed to trigger the 6 extra rows at the end (got 5). A couple hiccups in chapter 2, missing a few normally easy chains here and there. Should've had 200 chains, but 196 is good. Broke chain during the fast section of chapter 3, pretty hard to keep it going through there anyway. So while could've been a bit better, it went about as well as can be expected. But then...royally screwed up chapter 4... Died at the conveyor turrets... Instead of playing it safe by going after only 1 color during its last little part there, I tried to chain all the turrets, which is much more difficult. And I paid the price...Threw me off the rest of the way. That chapter could've (should've) been 6.2 mil or higher.

The final chapter was pretty average (missed S++ rank by 3,100pts). Actually cleared the 1st part of the final boss rush (the 'grid') without dying...one of my rare times for that, but quickly nullified that by dying stupidly on the relatively easy 2nd part (the 'snakes'), which also cost me some boss time bonus (always something). Then another death at Tageri (3rd part; aka, the sphere), which is typical for me. Then 2 more deaths during the end chase...1 death is usual for me here, but 2 is yet another screw up.

So 3 total stupid deaths... If I could have those back, that would have added another +1.5 mil at the end for life remain bonus. Plus that chapter 4 score might have been 300k or more better...and maybe another 100k on chapter 5... That would have put me close to 29.8 mil. Now more what if...I could've kept that chapter 3 chain unbroken...plus get those few easy chapter 2 chains that I missed... Would've been awful close to that coveted 30 million...

I really enjoyed the 10 days I got to put into this - sadly the last 20 days of July were just too busy and haven't had time to get on.

I'm glad this was the pick - it is the first time i'd seen the stage 3 prologue, then the actual stage, and finally the boss. I have further appreciation for the game for sure.
