FreeMcBoot on more than one PS2?

Post by ReddMcKnight »

Hi. Is there any way to install FreeMcBoot to a PS2 Memory Card in such a way that it will work on any PS2, instead of just the one it was installed on?

yes you can , when you run the installer you select a universal install so it works on multiple consoles.

This is what allows people to install FMCB on a memory card for some one else to use on their PS2 (which might not be the same model). The catch is that it takes up more room on the memory card. Normally, person A would do a universal install for Person B, then person B would change it to their specific model so the install takes up less room on the card.

FMCB version 1.9.3 seems to take up way less space on a universal install, as opposed to FMCB 1.8, (Like less that a megabyte).

Correct me if I'm wrong, maybe I installed the reg version by mistake. I always try to do universal install.
