Well as he did, possibly a usb drive or sd card with the game on it(preferably I would think one that's small enough to fit that game alone if you were to do it). That seems like the only sane thing to do if you want something in the case...

Put a separate SD card in every box representing each Digital game you own?

That's sane?

Just accept you like shelf candy and leave them empty. That seems like a sane solution to me.

I personally would never do them for individual games, but since my Wii is soft modded, I want to back up *all* the VC games for a particular console onto a USB stick (or possibly SD card) and toss it into the case.

I personally wouldn't do individual games though, that's a little overkill and will run you broke on SD cards real fast

I see.

I wonder if anyone makes cases for all their GOG PC games and whatnot.

Well I don't buy many, if any digital games as is. Usually the only time I ever do so is if it's a vc game that makes sense to get that way(because the original in any form is just too freaking expensive), or a digital only game. Otherwise I stick to physical games if i can help it...so I don't think there's a way I can really go broke on them if I go for cheap ones anyways if I even do that part

Its not the cost that confuses me, its the concept that you just HAVE to have something in the case to justify it sitting on your shelf.

I mean, I can't imagine pulling an SD cart out of a case to be all that gratifying. Sliding it into a flash cart or PC isn't a great feeling to me. All it does it take away one of the few advantages Digital games have, which is instant accessibility.

Only reason I would do it is because I like the idea of having all the VC games backed up (I have them on my hard drive), but having them all installed at once would be a little overwhelming. By having a card for each system, it's quicker to get it onto my system than having to grab it off my NAS when I want to switch things up.

But yeah, I love me some shelf candy

I haven't seen people doing that there, but considering RFGeneration.com has listings for GOG games and Wii VC games and XBLA games... it's certainly a possibility I'm sure.

That's a good question.

Personally I own a massive amount of GOG games, but they are simply backed up to a humongous portable hard drive. It does not look sexy sitting on a shelf but it sure is convenient.
