3D World is incredibly well put together and really really really good, but it also doesn't really feel like it brings a lot of new ideas to the table. It just does everything ultra well while managing to not feel like rehash.

If the game is priced cheap enough, I buy it. If it isn't, I get a copy and emulate or run on a modded system. No desire to collect, only to play.

Mario: Greatest Hits

I'd love another. They could probably get Yoshi in there. And 3D World had no ShyGuys!

I honestly got the Wii U for The Wind Waker. That game along with the Limited Edition bundle did it in for me. The day I got it I also picked up 3rd World.

Has anyone had problems with the Gamepad losing its charge, even when it's in the cradle/charging most of the time?

Also... when editing controls for VC games, do you have to edit it every game? Seems like it from what I've seen. Wish it would just register the same profile per console or something.

It's not going to charge once it's reached 100% even if it discharges from normal inactivity. I don't know how long you'd have to let it sit there to drain completely, though. Long time I would imagine. Maybe the pad checks then?

Its obvious it doesn't check periodically.

I don't even really unplug it when I use it. This has happened probably 3-4 times by now. Seems like it might just be my outlets though... I dunno? Most of them around here are kind of loose. After unplugging and plugging it back in it starts charging up normally again. But yeah it's weirdly happened enough by now for me to notice.

Recently I seriously been thinking about picking up a Wii U but the $250ish price point is really off-putting. Tbh, the only reason I want this is for SSMB4, Bayonetta 2, and Star Fox. I guess I'll be waiting until black Friday.

It's $200 plus shipping for a deluxe refurb from Nintendo fyi.

Refurb has the warranty and everything, but it lacks the extra game so it's not a deal when you can buy a $250 package with something you want to play in it. The best deal by far is that Super Mario U/Luigi U bundle since it's a real disc(unique to the box too) which alone cost $90 individually that takes a nice slice out of the sticker price IF you intended to buy that.
