I did finish the new Wolfenstein recently. I stand by my gripes, but it was a fun experience. Those on the fence should get it when it gets below $20, even if you end up playing it once it won't be a waste of time.
I got Rainbow Six 3 Gold from Steam (comes with Athena Sword), applied the 2.0 mod and an ENB preset from youtube. I miss those games! Even the theme is memorable. I can't recall any themes from the last several R6/Ghost Recon titles.
What single player FPS campaign are you playing?

So I've been doing the original Far Cry, and I made it to Rebellion. I've never played the game this far, so aside from dealing with the annoying trigens, I've met their big brother the Fatboys. The next half of the game should be interesting.
It's too bad Far Cry ended up being a series of totally unrelated games, however.

I hadn't heard of this, so I had to google.Ack wrote:My favorite Wolfenstein game is Super Noah's Ark 3D.oxymoron wrote:Am I the only person that liked the first one? I think it's kind of underrated. Sure it's nowhere near "great" but it isn't as bad as some outlets made it seem. Then again I kinda am a Wolfenstein fanboy.
lol.
I like that you use fruit as ammo to put the animals to sleep.

I gotta disagree man... those monsters sucked. I'm so glad the rest of the series ditched that crap.ExedExes wrote:So I've been doing the original Far Cry, and I made it to Rebellion. Crysis has the same issue with boring alien enemies ruining the fun.

Yeah they suck and I've got the retries/restarts in certain areas to prove it, but still.Xeogred wrote:I gotta disagree man... those monsters sucked. I'm so glad the rest of the series ditched that crap.

And Halo CE. Well, I wouldn't say "ruining" the fun, but the Flood aren't the most entertaining enemies to fight. I'm glad that little trend of introducing powerful nonhuman enemies halfway through a game died out.Xeogred wrote:I gotta disagree man... those monsters sucked. I kind of liked it in the first game. But I liked it most when you were fighting both the Flood and Covenant, while there was infighting between the two. The Library and other portions that were just pure Flood... eh yeah not that fun.

Started up Singularity today. Interesting setting and time manipulation abilities. The guns are slightly off though; the shotguns is more of a spitter than a blaster.
Still seems like a good yarn and is a bit of a change up from my last FPS conquest, Bulletstorm.

Singularity was underrated I thought, pretty good game.

It's an FPS/RPG hybrid, but I've been working my way through finishing up all of the achievements in Borderlands lately. I have 8 to go and am looking forward to putting this one away when I finish.
