That's because it's not much of a game, or it wasn't for me. I have that box set, and after having a time getting it to install and run on a Win 98 PC, I got stuck in like 10 moves. It was supposedly based on Dante's Inferno. Too bad, because it looked pretty slick. It was a point and click type adventure with lots of still images.J T wrote:The Journey featuring Alice In Chains
I've never played this and I couldn't find any video or photos of the game itself, but if you bought this Music Bank box-set, then there was an interactive adventure game called The Journey featuring the members of Alice In Chains. The basic plot is that Satan is trying to rid the world of rock n roll, and he has started by stealing away the souls of the members of Alice In Chains. Your job is to dive into purgatory and bring them back. I think there might be a reason I can't find much online about this game.

Does every character in Guilty Gear count???
They either by design, name or both, are in some way related to a musician or group/act.

No Scorn or Godflesh eh? Boo.BoneSnapDeez wrote:On the somewhat more obscure side there is Earache Extreme Metal Racing.
PAL only, unsurprisingly.
The featured bands are kinda blah. Would have been a much cooler game had it come out in 1991 or so.

This is still pretty sick though. I've never heard of it before, so I looked it up. Menu music was Akercocke. Immediately missed my long hair.Hobie-wan wrote:No Scorn or Godflesh eh? Boo.BoneSnapDeez wrote:On the somewhat more obscure side there is Earache Extreme Metal Racing.

EDIT: Ok, nm. Game looks ASS besides the music.

Wasted so many hours unlocking everything in that Wu Tang PSX game. You could throw the CD in a CD player and listen to the soundtrack too.

This came with one of their greatest hits compilations and you basically play through some of their album covers converted into different levels. It was kinda gimickey...

Quest for Fame: Aerosmith

This one is actually pretty interesting. It was released in 1999 for the PC and it featured a peripheral called the V-Pick, which plugged into your computer's parallel port and could sense vibrations. Players were encouraged to strum their V-Pick's against a tennis racket or their belly so they could air guitar their favorite Aerosmith tunes to win. This obviously pre-dates Guitar Hero and is a pretty similar concept. The company also created something called "V-Sticks" that allowed you to drum out your favorite rhythms as well. This was featured on an Aerosmith CD-ROM track for their album Nine Lives.

Speaking of Revolution X, my local arcade just brought it in from their warehouse. I'm going to be home this weekend so I'll be sure to get lots of Aerosmith-y goodness to report to y'all.Gunstar Green wrote:Anything is better than Revolution X.

I've never played them and I'm not so sure they really count as games but avant-garde band The Residents made three software titles: Freak Show, Bad Day on the Midway, and The Gingerbread Man.
