I got to ask, with people finally jumping in now and not before, what's so special about the WiiU to finally grab someone? I really hope it's not just Mario Kart and Brawl later on.

I want to be totally jazzed for it again but since I don't care much for brawl and I'd pay 1/2 the rate MK8 sells for since I don't care for any of it other than the 1P race I'm left with Bayonetta for sure, Hyrule Warriors, Captain Toad depending how it turns out, maybe Project Cars if I don't have a PS4 at that rate, and there's maybe Xenoblade, big maybe on Zelda and Yoshi, and I think there was that other third party game that looked M rated.

I don't count digital, not into buying that stuff on a closed system with stuff locked to the account except in rare cases. I've got like 9 games for the thing now, they're decent titles but sadly mostly first party stuff and Nintendo has been wearing that stuff thin. I just wish more second and primarily third party games would pop up so I could keep active on it.

Seriously, the daily PMs about your "huge collection" need to stop ...
I think you're just jealous because I own so many awesome video games.

I understand that reading about my collection might make you feel inadequate...By the way, did I mention I have almost every game for the Arcadia 2001? In complete condition? Pretty awesome, huh?...So, I will stop sending you daily PMs, especially since you clearly don't have the capacity to appreciate them. <sigh>

Nintendo is building a solid library of games for the system with almost no third-party support, and I am more excited about the games scheduled for release on that system than I am for the game's scheduled for releas on the PS4 or Xbox One.

Strangely, 98% of the people I know or am around do not collect or even know people are. This hobby is such a small fractional portion of people who collect things. It is hot right now, it will cool. All things must pass.....

So, does anyone think that Ebay with shill bidding cause artificial rises in game cost? Fake account with fake bids and bidders exist. I would like to do a study where I would unload a bunch of high price games at low buy it now prices and let someone I know snatch them all up so I would not have to worry about claims against me. Would I be able to potentially kill prices on some games if I did it incrementally.

By the way, A huge THANK YOU to everyone who sells here who does not sell graded games. The hobby is playing video games, not slabbing games. We all collect to play and do not collect just to have. This is absolutely the ONLY forum I use. Anyway, where else could I have gotten my sig LOL. Which DSH accepts with the greatest of class and has never once complained. :D

I am 1/2 through Shovel Knight and will play more tonight while watching American Nina Warrior. The off-tv play is the best part about the Wii U especially for games like Shovel Knight. Like most of you I wish I could play my Wii VC games on the pad without the remote.

I'm pretty excited about Bayonetta 2 and Devil's Third, by the Ninja Gaiden creator. Looks like a hybrid FPS/TPS action slasher. Even though it's under the radar compared to the rest. Hopefully we get Fatal Frame V.

Do you like Japanese games? If not, stick to PS4/Xbone/PC I guess. Nintendo is different, this board has easily told me you either like them, or don't.

I suspect the Wii U will continue to bring in more cool indie stuff and Japanese devs. Who cares about AAA budgets, I'd rather have games that focus on fun.

Although there are a decent amount of games I am looking forward to, I would have bought the Wii U just for Mario Kart 8. Mario Kart gets a lot of action at my place.

Mario Kart 8 has definitely been the highlight of my short time owning the Wii U. It's by far the best new game for the console, IMHO, and I only ended up paying around $45 for it after discounts. I played the heck out of it for weeks and also got the free download code for WW HD.

I didn't really care about the free download at first but decided on a whim to check it out to compare with the original GC version. Now, I'm halfway through that game and loving it all over again! This also speaks volumes to me about how good WW is as I just played through the GC version a year ago.

That's the one Devil's Third, couldn't remember the name of it and that looks possibly good and I wish we would get Fatal Frame and hopefully that boob Reggie won't screw us again like with the Wii games the UK got in english and we didn't. I like Japanese stylized games more than western but I can do either. I like Nintendo, don't love them like I used to because I'm more critical of their corner cutting and minimal upgrades to franchises and some feel like doing the motions before enjoyment. AAA budgets I care about if they're used properly to make a great game, not if it's just to hire up or mimic hollywood to polish so nicely a shiny turd the glare makes you buy it to regret it later as it's more of the hype up weak same crap.

3D World is different. And I personally love its simplicity.
The new Mario Kart is easily a lot different than the rest of the series, with the gravity and crazier dynamic tracks.
Zelda is going open world... that's different.
Platinum Games is giving them full support with some unique exclusives.

Don't know about you, but I see "different" ...
