I don't think I've ever met anyone with a more robust 32X collection. How many of those are actually worth playing??

nice collection.. you have a lot of good stuff. the only thing i would find a way to do differently is find a way to have all of your systems on display instead of on the bottom shelf as they are in the one pic.. its hard to do without looking cluttered, but if you find or build the right shelves its definitely achievable. i need to get a few more cornerstones for mine (namely a SMS and my new surround sound system) and I will upload some pics of mine.

Now that is a collection to show off to the ladies. I'm jealous, youve got quite a sizable genesis collection. I only have....I think, over 50 when I last counted but maybe half of them I don't even think about playing.
...and that 32X collection, awesome! Your e-penis must be HUGE right now. did you get the majority of them when they were released or second hand? I want a 32X...I just lack the motivation to care about it when there are much better options out there (Sega CD, more Genesis games).

awesome collection though, I should get around to posting mine.

Unless you find someone with everything CIB, you probably won't, as this is every game released for the system (except the super-uber rare PAL DarXide and the JPN uber-rare Sangokushi IV). I also don't know how many more of the VF "Special Training Pack" are floating around - mine is complete and the T-Shirt/VHS are still sealed.

Only about 1/3 of the collection at best is any good - Virtua Fighter, Virtua Racer, After Burner, Space Harrier, Doom, Blackthorne, MK II, and Blackthorne are IMO the superior versions of these games (certainly for the era), and Doom, Star Wars, Kolibri, Shadow Squadron and Zaxxon are all worth a play through.

I used to have them all on display and, yes, it did look fairly cluttered. I find that keeping them in the cabinet keeps them out of sun and dust, and they are very easy to just pull out and plug in when needed (I keep the AV and power cords and one controller with each system - the extra stuff is in the storage bins on top of the retro shelf). It keeps the wife happier that way too.

I had maybe 5-6 when they were released, about 10 I picked up used in local stores, and the rest I bought on eBay (including Spiderman, which set me back about $100.)

besides the rarity, why is spiderman so damn expensive? is it good at all?
what compelled you to spend so damn much money on a game you might not even play more than a few times?

It's not awful - but certainly mediocre. It is hard ,too (in part because of the controls) - I've never finished it. I spent the money for the sake of library completion - it is only expensive because of the rarity.

I saw Alien Homnid or whatever the SP in your game cube games. I just traded in that game since it was a horrible let down. I played the original flash game on newgrounds.com like crazy and loved it when I found out that it got licensed to become a real console game.

It was like seeing the new kids come into the fold. Then the game was repetitive and boring. It was best as a 1 level platformer flash game which is sad.
