Gameboy "Macro"

After just learning about this mod, I had to try it myself and wanted to show my progress so far. Basically you take an original DS or DS lite, remove the top screen and make it a Jumbo Game Boy Micro! This would be done on broken DS's preferably, as harvesting working consoles would not be the ideal way. But on consoles that have broken hinges/damaged top screens this is a fun mod!

I did not really document the process until I got it painted, but all you do is take apart the DS, sand off the old hinges, and fill the holes with your choice of filler. For my first console, I decided to mimic the Famicom Gameboy Micro with the gold front/red back.





I am working on getting some more DS's to make some more. Thinking of maybe offering them for sale here, along with the backlit screen modded GBA's...
