Yeah SAO is one those shows that it's probably not a good idea to plow through(I learned that the hard way :? ). It's a great show but dang it I can't stand the villain of the elfheim game. There's villains I hate because their evil but that guy is on a whole other level :|

J T wrote:OMG Sword Art Online is so good! I plowed through the whole first season in about 3 days. I just wanted more and more! I sort of wish I stopped at episode 15 though. It was a perfectly good tale that they could have ended there without carrying forward beyond that point, plus they sort of ruined some characters in the latter half of the season. Still, it was a great show and I'm only so critical of the 2nd half because the first half was so spectacular.

Now I've moved onto Knights of Sidonia, which is looking to be another good series. I've got to get back to Serial Experiment Lain too. I only watched one episode of that.
The second Season of Sword Art Online started up a few weeks back they are up to episode 4. It's another big shift though since the new game is Gun Gale online which is kind of like a modern warfare PVP setup. They have introduced some new interesting characters though and it's been good so far.

There is only one thing that was revealed in Episode 4 that kind of bugs me. Minor spoiler.
Kirito has pretty much a female avatar. It is "male" but even he freaks out and feels for boobs when he spawns in. Originally when I saw the end theme video I thought that the character shown was Asuna and I thought see was going to have a much bigger role this time around which would have been awesome since she didn't see much action in ALO. However that was actually just Kirito's new avatar :P.

Knights of Sidonia is pretty good, but the ending isn't very conclusive. Hopefully they make another season or two to further explain what is going on.

Personally I didn't find it to bad although it definitely was a let down compared to the first half. Hopefully the second season does better so far it seems to be going pretty well.

Yeah the second half wasn't that bad, it was just the villain in my opinion that was horrible. The rest of it was decent compared...I'm going to start watching the saoII tomorrow if I can help it(but backloggery may take precedence, I need to finish adding stuff so I can somewhat keep track of stuff)

For me, the villain was alright and Yui was fine though a little grating at times, but my real problem was...

*spoilers*
they turned Asuna from an amazing warrior queen into a lame damsel in distress and the whole Alfhiem world didn't pack the same punch as Sword Art Online where you can actually die in real life if you die in the game. They took away the plot's central source of tension and gimped one of the main characters into a wimpy female cliché.

Sadly I couldn't imagine it any other way...I just wish they would've made a better villain, one I'd love to despise for good reason. I did finish watching it a few months ago but it's annoying as heck for reasons I just can't put my finger on...but yeah don't really know how that one mechanic would've worked anyways in a new game since they were able to leave as if nothing was really happening(unless you were kirito or someone close to him)...

Yeah that kind of annoyed me :P. Was really hoping that SAO II would have her in a lead role again but she is stuck off to the side once again. Looks like there is going to be another strong female lead though and she actually has gotten just as much if not more screen time then Kirito so far.
