My copy of Got a Girl came today. There's a Revolution is definitely my favorite so far, but it's a nice light album that I don't have much in my collection that fits it's mood.

If you're thinking about getting into Kraftwerk and would be buying something physical, The Mix is a good overview of their classic stuff.

I'm kind of new to electronic music. Could you guys recommend me some stuff? I like trap, EDM, dubstep and a little DnB. Lately I've been listening to a lot of music by a little duo called Kito & Reija Lee but idk what genre they fall into. I hope that helps a bit. Thanks.

I'd start by going to the beginning of this thread and try stuff out that people have posted. Then once you have some things that you like, you can list those and people can make better suggestions.

Yeah, saw the other acquired post after this one.

I have to admit, their works can be a bit spotty as to the quality imo

It's hard to even know where to start. I've been listening to electronic music most all of my life, and was involved in the rave scene in the late 90s/early 00s. Though our tastes may not be the same, the artists I have followed for years and will buy everything they release are Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Amon Tobin, Nine Inch Nails, and Venetian Snares. Everything they release is a pretty solid bet in my opinion.

Just for kicks though, here are ten must-have albums that span a range of electronic music over time. This isn't the list everyone would make, but I swam through my databases and quickly pulled this together and think it is a solid list. I've tried to link the images to the music when possible:

Skinny Puppy- "VIVIsectVI" (1988)
Image

Chemical Brothers- "Exit Planet Dust" (1995)
Image

Goldie- "Timeless" (1995)
Image

Aphex Twin- "Richard D. James Album" (1997)
Image

Juno Reactor- "Bible of Dreams" (1997)
Image

Adam F- "Colours" (1998)
Image

Ram Trilogy- "Molten Beats" (1999)
Image

Tipper- "Surrounded" (2003)
Image

Boxcutter- "Arecibo Message" (2009)
Image

Anamanaguchi- "Endless Fantasy" (2013)
