If it's Keith Apicary, I will not be disappointed.

Sorry this is so late in the day.
Here's what I chose:
Selected Mii
As if anyone couldn't guess this would be what I'd choose.
So here's the figure:
And here is a silly photo album with the figure (Maybe there'll be more to that later?):
I hope no one is too disappointed with the choice and result. It's pretty nice and, I would imagine, unique.

I'm not disappointed. It's pretty awesome actually.

That is pretty awesome. Now your next step should be to get a picture of the man himself holding that.

Wow... that is actually really, really cool. How does it work with the details in the face, like the freckles? Can if tell if they were a part of a one-stop printing process or if they were added on later?

Re: I Won a Thing on the Internet - Mario Kart 8 Sweepstakes
Yeah, I'll get right on that.
I imagine Sandboxr has an industrial 3D printer, so it can accept multiple plastics at the same time.
There's not a lot of separation. The cart and the head were printed separately then put together. The base looks like it wasn't printed at all.
So, it's got to be a 3D printer with at least five or six extruders. I imagine they used PLA plastic for structural support then dissolved it.
One thing this has over casting, it allows for much finer details. The points in the hair, for instance, are really pointy. There's no plastic bleed or anything like that between sections. And there's very small details everywhere.
