Lords of Shadow is damn good (reminds me, I gotta get back to the sequel soon), but it's got a very different feel from any CV before it. Lament of Innocence on the PS2 was a 3d 'vania that really felt like old-school 'vania.

Is the Castlevania on N64 worth looking into at all, or should I just not bother?

That's my favorite. 'Course most people here probably think I'm crazy.

Iirc, Ack had a good write up in one of the games beaten threads. Might be good to read his post for a summary on his experience with the game.

Legacy is better than C64 IMO.

Legacy is a more expensive but is the version to get, it fixes the camera issues from the original, you can control it with the d-pad, and you can play the missions of 2 new characters in the game.

I did enjoy it quite a bit it has rough edges but thats to be expected from early 3D action platformers.

Wasn't a fan of either N64 'vania, but I'm not a fan of most early 3d nonsense. Really until late-PS1 era I didn't feel 3d hit its stride.

I just realized that after this weekend (can't start this weekend as I got friends coming from out of town) I'll need to go heads down on the original Wasteland, since Wasteland 2 is coming out in August.
