What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
No application at all, Billy? That's weird. I mean, I'm sure not every place cares to have people fill out applications to get a position. But I thought there was some law in existence that companies needed to have applications for all employees on file. Like my current job, for example. I filled out an application as a formality, but I already had the job.

Ours dont often have applications either, or if they do, it is an afterthought. Your resume is passed around and then they bring you in for an interview. HR will email me and say oh please fill out this online application for our records before we can send official offer. Applications in my field are just for paperwork and technicalities. So I submitted resume and interviewed before I filled out an app.
The resume gets the interview and the interview gets the job.

I think you're right on that count. But I don't consider those applications in the sense that's been brought up in this thread. If it's a form to fill out after they give you the offer so that they meet some legal requirement it's not really an application, imo.Ziggy587 wrote:No application at all, Billy? That's weird. I tend to feel this as well. They are more of an official "employee details" document for their records / legal reasons.MrPopo wrote:I think you're right on that count. Endo and LHR coming up, car payment, speeding ticket, bloodwork from last and upcoming appts, and general living expenses. Only saved by the fact I don't pay rent where I am atmlisalover1 wrote:Ouch, sorry to hear that expenses will be getting that rough...AmishSamurai wrote:Smile- friend bought me a webcam so I can join in skype calls again.

Quick question for you ladies—you don't have to answer if you don't want to—are any of your treatments/procedures covered under your health insurance (if you have it)? I'm curious as to how insurance companies look at the process.

My insurance didn't pay for any of my doctor visits, though there might be something else going on there, I'll need to make some phone calls.TSTR wrote:Quick question for you ladies—you don't have to answer if you don't want to—are any of your treatments/procedures covered under your health insurance (if you have it)? Prescriptions were covered though.
