PS3 lives on....
Re: PS3 lives on....
Well yeah I plan on having two hdd's down the road but I'd rather for the freebies and obviously digital only games to have a decent hdd. Actually what I plan to do if possible is have a decently large hdd for backing up both ps4 and ps3. (as well as a additional one for wii u when I get it >_>)
My gameroom
My systems: NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, original gba, gba sp(001), ds lite, 3ds, vita, psp, PSone(101 model) ps2, ps3(320gb model), ps4, retron 5, and Dreamcast.

If you're transferring data between HDDs, then yeah, you need a backup drive and the new drive. If you don't need to transfer anything, then no.RCBH928 wrote:Don't you like have to buy 2 HDDs one for ps3 and one for backing up ?
Actually backing up the system from time to time wouldn't be a terrible idea, but PS+ cloud saves should be able to keep any unique data safe anyway.

This.
Also, I don't know why Sony changed it for the PS4. Even with my PS3 filled up, I feel like I can navigate much more quickly than I can with my PS4. I'm very surprised that Sony didn't keep the traditional XMB.

I bought some games and others are free from PS Plus, how can I know which is which is my purchased history so I can tell which games I have a limited to play before my PS Plus membership ends

I think if you highlight the game in the XMB and hit Triangle for Information, an expiration date is shown.RCBH928 wrote:I bought some games and others are free from PS Plus, how can I know which is which is my purchased history so I can tell which games I have a limited to play before my PS Plus membership ends

So for less than $70 I picked up all 7 Shin Megami Tensei games that was released for the PS2 in the US all digitally through the PSN store on the PS3.
