So I am at Metroid Prime final boss fight and I'm reading up on hints and such. I think I might be screwed.

I don't have all the missile upgrades (I think I'm at 155) as I missed a few. I am pretty sure I have all the health upgrades (if not I'm only missing 1).

Will I need at least 200 missiles to fight Prime in its first form? The game has been fun, but I'm ready to beat it and move on to something else in my backlog. So going back at getting those missile capacity upgrades sounds more like a chore than fun.

Have you tried the fight yet? The first form is a lot more a matter of using the right beam type than having missiles. Obviously, they can help, but the gimmick is that it shifts colors and you need to swap beams in turn.

No, haven't tried it yet. Perhaps I should try it before I whine about how tough it is?

I was just trying to plan ahead. So it sounds like missiles will just help on the overall time it takes to bring the first phase down.

Its not that tough. (Meta-Ridley was the hardest boss in the game if I recall correctly.) Try it out, and if it gives you trouble, then you can back track for the missile and health upgrades. (Personally, I viewed finding each the missile and health upgrade as a "puzzle", and solving all of the "puzzles" increased my enjoyment of the game.)

The final final boss of Metroid Prime is truly difficult, it's not just you. It's ten times harder than any other boss you face. Honestly I thought Meta-Ridley was a joke in comparison to the last boss after I finished the game.

I've watched a few more videos and yeah, these games look amazing. I usually get bored with cover shooters, but these look a bit different with the transforming, and varied enemy types. I'll definitely have to check them out.
There's not a lot of covering going on in them. They're straight-up action for the most part.

Metroid Prime is a weird boss. I hear people complaining it was too easy and people complaining it was too hard. Personally I fall into the camp that feels it wasn't really a challenge at all but it's an entertaining fight.

Thanks all, I really do appreciate all the input. I'm going to give Prime a go tonight.

So far, the hardest boss for me has been probably Flaahgra. Omega Pirate and Meta Ridley gave me a little trouble but they only took a few tries.

Forza Horizon is great fun. It takes what I liked about Need for Speed Most Wanted U but does it infinitely better in every way.

The only thing that irks me is the constant pushing of DLC (free and premium). I went to buy a 370z but nope, that only came with the pre-order DLC pack but I can buy it right now for x amount of cash!

I don't mind DLC that much but when they shove it in your face like that it's really hard to not feel like you didn't get the complete game.

Which last boss are we talking? The armored up version or the screaming skull version? Neither is that hard and you certainly don't need all the missile tanks.

I'm pretty sure a guy who got all the trophies for Under Defeat can hack it.

Started playing Oddworld New and Tasty, it feels much more poorly designed than I remember. Is this a flaw of the remake, or has the original game not aged well?
