So how do GBA games work on the Wii U VC? I viewed a trailer for one on the eShop and it showed footage playing from the Gamepad screen. Can you only play GBA on the Gamepad screen? Or are they playable on the TV?

Playable on the TV, with other controllers just like other VC titles.

I'll admit though, the games look incredible on the gamepad. Look great on the TV too.

So glad I have that one on gba though  but I do hope eventually they add some games that are usually crazy expensive to get physically if they haven't already...

They kind of did throwing Earthbound into their awful list of club nintendo prizes this year. Free (or even $10) is far nicer than the 100% pure hype generated price it is at.

OK, new Wii U update out...
Version 5.1.0 U, available via an Internet connection, includes the following improvements:

New Features:

Wii U to Wii U System Transfer
Users can now transfer (move) all software and data from one Wii U to another
A “System Transfer” option has been added within System Settings
Click here for additional information on this feature

Changes to Nintendo eShop:

Users can now navigate the Nintendo eShop using a Wii Remote, Wii U Pro Controller, or Classic Controller

Improvements to system stability and usability:

Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience
OK, so the Wii U to Wii U System Transfer is a step in the right direction. At least users can move all their stuff from one console to another. It still doesn't help if your console is broken, becomes corrupt, stolen, etc. But, better than nothing?

Until now you could only use the GamePad to navigate the eShop. Adding the ability to use the eShop channel with the other controllers is great... I don't know why they didn't just do that from day 1.

I really think they should have packed in a Pro controller with the system.

Can you use them on PC by the way? Since they're like an awesome evolved SNES controller, would be great for emulation. Though I can easily say my precision in platforming isn't quite as good compared to the real SNES controllers.

Is the USB port just for power? Or does it actually communicate data?

Pro Controller is Bluetooth. I think USB just charges it. Either way, there are PC and Mac drivers out there for it, provided you have Bluetooth (also Android and iOS support, at least in some stuff).

If you don't have Bluetooth, you can get a USB dongle for a few bucks.
