holy shit. that's... unreal. this really happened? not that i don't believe you, that's just absolutely insane.AppleQueso wrote:I was trying to sleep, this is generally the hottest room in the house (and thus the hardest room to keep cool.) Cool. Great. Super. Excellent. Awesome.

Right there with you buddy, down from 189 to 163, working on getting down to 160 by September, and hopefully 150 by the end of the year (but anything below 160 is icing). How are you roasting your avocado? In the oven, or do you have some interesting way to do it on the grill?Luke wrote:Go get 'em Stark. Hoping for the best!
Frown: Back down to 147 lbs.
I'm eating an avocado a day for breakfast in hopes that the "good fat" will pack on some pounds. Speaking of avocados, a halved avocado roasted with an egg in it is delicious.
I had an awesome set of smiles for the weekend:
1. Friday evening and Saturday morning - sick to where I could barely get out of the chair without getting winded.
2. Because of being stuck in the chair, helped Noise with PC issues. Now he can play Steam games again.
3. While helping Noise, I helped another friend with different set of PC issues. She can play Steam games aswell.
4. Was able to move around enough Saturday night I got to go buy some super discounted metal benches from Kroger - my mother bought the same kind a decade ago and they still sit well. Two benches for $100 when they are usually $400 is a great deal.
5. Worked on our Fire Engine and Pontoon boat on Sunday. Fire Engine drives well, like you are driving a train engine, while the Pontoon boat is getting a new deck so we have to remove everything off of it. I sat under it with a brace to hold the nuts while my wife airgunned bolts off. Took two hours but everything but the captains console and the engine cover are now off. New deck should be on in a week or so.
6. Fed goats candy canes.
7. Got a title for our camper and due to its age we can get a permanent tag for it. Now the real work can begin.
Ticked - Water at work taste soapy.

Yeah, lots of glass right behind my bed. There's a thick curtain over the window that the bed is up against, so I didn't get any glass in my face or anything like that, but there's definitely glass inside the house.Ziggy587 wrote: @AQ: That sucks. Did you get broken glass inside?

Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Fairly busy weekend of doing nothing at all:
: Had a friend over for the weekend and spent most of it playing Game Boy games on his new Game Boy Player. Won one of my own on ebay over the weekend, looking forward to it arriving
: I can't afford to throw £70 down on a Hori controller like he did.
: Got some new Dreamcast games for an OK price, had a pizza lunch in a nice cool pub (way too hot outside lately), picked up the last of my secret santa gifts. Almost ready to send.
: Friends gone home. Back at work.
: 2 week holiday starting Saturday

We tried a dozen or so fixes, and ended up reinstalling the OS. My guess is that the registry just got really corrupt for Steam. I remember a similar issue back in the early days of Steam that was pretty much go through your registry and fix these hundredish things. But I could not find a link to the list after a solid hour of searching.aaron wrote:what was the issue? i tried to lend a hand but i couldn't figure out why his port forwarding settings wouldn't stick.fastbilly1 wrote: 2. Well it certainly sucks. At least you can say, "It could have been worse." Waking up to broken glass in your face is certainly worse than waking up to a broken window.

I take it you know that from experience? Ziggy and his terror tales of the great NYC!Ziggy587 wrote:AppleQueso wrote:Yeah, lots of glass right behind my bed. Sorry to hear about it Apple, but like Ziggy said, atleast the curtain got the bulk of it.
