Well I've been playing dkc on gba.....I wish I knew what happened to my light though for it(and I do mean that worm light that kinda coils around). At least I found my rechargeable battery for the thing. Forgot how fun this game was....just not the easiest game to play by lamp-light *sigh*

Started Wizards and Warriors (NES) last night. Been a few years since I beat it last, so it's always fun.

The annoying sound/beeping when you're low on health can go away though.

Man I have that and it was so freaking hard...made it to the bats and got permanently stumped. Tried it from every angle and just couldn't do it. I think I need to give it another wack once I finally beat dkc on gba ha ha i just keep forgetting to play the game

Bats? Do you mean the second stage boss that has a bunch of bats down the corridor and then you fight the Big Bat at the end?

I've been playing castle of illusion lately - both the original and the 2013 remake. I hate to admit it, but the remake might be the better game. You can tell that the devs at Sega Studios Australia really put a lot of love into this game. It's not just a quick cash-in on nostalgia; it's the best "new" platforming game I've played in a long time.

Ah good. I also really enjoy this game and I think it needs more love. If I was five years old again I'd go absolutely nuts for it. As it is I'm just medium nuts for it. Peanuts rather than Brazil.

On topic, I started up Jak and Daxter t'other day and immediately thought "this started out as a Crash Bandicoot game, didn't it?". No disrespect though, Naughty Dog's PS1 Crash games are brilliant. Not very far in at all but it looks promising. If it can reach Crash 2's level I will be very pleased.

Also, I realise in retrospect that I probably should have picked this as a Summer Games Challenge game. Oh well. :P

Freaking yes! Ha ha...I somehow managed to beat everything up to that point and failed miserably at the boss side(I even though I recognized a few patterns and started working through it but kept dieing every stinking time  ).

An easy way is to walk slowly down the cave. Once you see the bat perched up on the ceiling, walk a few steps more until it takes off towards you. Now what you want to do is jump.....and angle it so the tip of your sword stabs the bat as it is flying towards you and you are jumping. You will 1 hit the small bats; the medium bats take a few more hits but the same principle applies and you should still kill them in 1 jump. Go slow and get your timing and angle correct and you'll make it to the Big Bat with Full Health. Then you just throw your dagger/stab at him like the other boss.

I picked up Spelunky from that GOG deal last weekend for five bucks, haven't the time to play it yet other than the trainer pre-game stages but it looks pretty solid.

I have heard great things about Spelunky. I was thinking of getting it for my Vita, I just haven't pulled the trigger yet. Let me know what you think of it.
