Do you know what would make Sunshine even better? Wii motion controls......seriously
Said nobody ever, right?

What is the thing that makes Sunshine a negative experience, having to stop and aim the stupid water nozzle. Just imagine running around with the nunchuck and spraying water at the screen...a bajillion times easier.

When Nintendo announced motion control re-releases of Gamecube games Pikmin 2 and Mario Tennis I was POSITIVE SUnshine would come as well. Guess I was wrong, but it would have made the game infinitely more playable.

I beat Phantasy Star on gba and never saw the infamous bug.

I prefer Sunshine over 64.

I still say 64 was amazing for being the first 3d mario platformer....but anything is a improvement over it though

What about Super Mario 64 DS?!

Which was exponentially easier than super mario 64 thanks to Luigi being one OP mother fucker.

64 has a LOT of movement options, Mario's moveset's been slowly reduced since.

By watching speedruns, it's clear that Mario 64's moveset allow for some really amazing glitches. Not quite as much as DK64, but it's still something to watch a skilled speedrunner break that game.

I can totally agree that ME1 is more of an RPG...
I haven't got to ME3 yet (I think I'm maybe halfway through ME2). I can agree that ME1 was no where near as satisfying or fun as KOTOR, which is one of my favourite games of all time.

I'm sure I will get back into ME2 soon and hopefully will complete the trilogy by the end of the summer.
I've played through each Mass Effect game three times (the original being my favorite by far), and on every single run I've been consistently entertained through 1 and 2, feeling like I "couldn't put them down," so-to-speak... and then my enthusiasm would slam to a near-halt during 3. I'd literally have to convince myself to pick up the controller again, so it's really cool to hear that other people had radically different experiences!

Even though ME1 reused those battleground settings ad-nauseum, I honestly felt the most entertained and challenged during those combat scenarios. Maybe it's because enemies (and myself and my squad) could fire off multiple powers at once, or because enemy types seemed more varied (at least in contrast to 3), but it felt like I had to be a lot more persistent and aware during those skirmishes. I would leave a battle feeling like I'd accomplished something skillful and less like I'd outsmarted an aggravating game mechanic, if that makes any sense. That said, I will be the first to admit that I have an unabashedly all-consuming affection for everything in that game -- including the Mako -- and I understand that mileages vary, so.

I think the ME3 combat system nailed it in terms of the multiplayer setting -- I had an awesome time with that -- but for singleplayer it didn't work as well for me, and I'm not entirely sure why. Whatever the reason, I'm going to stop before I write ten pages contemplating it. :)

True that.
Sunshine beats 64 in my book any day.
