Yeah the most important thing that you need to take from games in general is that you make connections with people. Board games, card games, video games, they are just tools to help bridge the gap of having fun with other people.

We have found that a game that isn't even multi-player can be an engaging experience. Using forums to enthuse with friends about genres and titles, or having friends watch you play an intense game and give feedback, advice or just oohs and aahs as the action heats up.

I can never say that one form is greater than another and anyone who does is short sighting themselves. You can make as much enjoyment from any experience as long as you make the decision to do so. If you tell me I am wrong, than you are just an angry person and I invite you to come play a game with me and have fun..because I don't hate you, I want to show you the joys of loving life!

I've said it before, I'll say it again --

I would rather watch someone else play a 1p game (and probably heckle them about how much they suck, even though I could rarely do any better) than play an XBL/PSN game online.

MMOs were fun for a while, but I still would prefer actual gaming with physical people in my presence.
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed
Chronically out of date BST thread

Don't know how I could be wrong in that statement, but supposedly I am, because board games are the only source of connection you can make with a person through gaming according to this person. It makes me sad that someone wants to denounce another persons enjoyment because they say so.

"I don't do that so it's wrong."

I'm not mad about, but you have to call people out on those arguments, My response is literally,

BogusMeatFactory wrote:Why are you making this into an argument? I never once denounced the awesomeness of board games? I feel as if you are telling me that my experiences and joy are invalid, making the idea of board games spreading fun and enjoyment a false idea as you are clearly upset and angry at other people's joy.

Kids these days I tell ya. Why do we hate so much? Why are we filled with so much insecurity and defensiveness that we lash out anyone for having any type of experience.

No no, I didn't mean you. I was putting words into the mouth of the person you were arguing with. Sorry.

I was playing BlazBlue a while back, and Ragna had quite possibly the best quote to summarize fighting game plots that I have ever heard.

Ragna the Bloodedge wrote:Since when did the universe decree that I should be the target of every unwashed, ill-mannered mooch to befoul this planet of ours?
