Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?

You know, even if you only consider the US library, there were definitely enough games. There could have been a lot more, but there were definitely enough. Enough for me, anyway.

I have nearly no experience with the Saturn, but if what I read and what I watched about it tells me, is that we got seriously hosed on games in the US. Japan has so many exclusives, especially arcade ports.

That is what I say, but I also do not actively seek out SHMUPs so that may be a big factor on why I am comfortable with the U.S. library. The only thing I missed out on is the fighting game genre, but I have my virtual fighters and my street fighter alphas so I am happy!

A great console for importing.

And yet, RPGs are probably the least English-friendly imports you can buy

And there are next to no translations out there for them. Every once in a great while one will pop up, but few and far between.

*waits, hoping some day for a SamSho RPG translation to materialize*

After playing more of Galaxy this morning, it has really solidified my opinion. 3D World is an absolute joy to play. Galaxy, on the other hand, I find myself wrestling with the controls and camera and getting annoyed at having to shake the controller to spin. Do you know what would be cool? If they'd actually give me the choice to use a classic controller! Plus, the whole 360 degree world gimmick kind of gets on my tits.

3D Land and 3D World are great.

I've never been a fan of 3D platformers but they take it in a new direction that works much better for me than others I've played.

*sigh* What could have been... I still feel just a bit unclean whenever I play Grandia on the PlayStation.

I enjoyed Galaxy, but I liked 3D World much better.

Frankly I'd go as far as to say that 3D World is the best 3D Mario, period.
