not sure. it starts at 10AM PDT, so I'd guess around then.

I figure I'll be downloading the files most of the day and, hopefully , playing it tonight.

That kind of sucks for us here in Europe. That's the end of the day here.

hmm mine installed already after all. maybe it uses a lot of the alpha files?

Wait, that's impossible. My internet isn't that fast. What the hell? Is it really a 13.2GB file or did I get that wrong?

Mine's installing still and is at 34%. It might use some of the Alpha files, as I never got a chance to get the Alpha.

Been playing beta on PS3....

As far as performance goes...it's actually quite good for the most part. Everything felt smooth and there wasn't anything that was too much of an eye sore. Yes, the shadows off your character suck though. XD I'm sure it looks great on PS4 but I don't really feel like I'm missing out on anything just because I'm playing it on PS3. Now if I was to have played the PS4 version and then went back I'm sure I'd notice more stuff but that's usually how those things go. I'd say Bungie did a good job on their first PS3 game.

Now for the game itself...

Bear in mind I haven't read or watched a whole lot on the game but was always intrigued by the concept of it all. The setting and presentation are all handled well and controls feel nice. For the opening half hour or so I was really loving everything but I honestly got a bit bored the more I played. Just shooting hordes of enemies can only satisfy me for so long I guess.

I gave my spare codes to my buddies so hopefully I get to play with them this weekend. I'm sure it's much more interesting playing with others. So basically I'm a bit conflicted on what to think ATM. I like the RPG/MMO-ish elements but find gunplay to be stale and uninteresting for the most part unless it's competitive multiplayer. I haven't tried the Crucible stuff yet but is that enough of a selling point here? I dunno yet.
