Agreed. The ending is also incredibly dumb (even by slasher movie standards). It further confirms my belief that Mario Bava stopped making good movies in 1966. (Lisa & The Devil is the only outlier...and it is enjoyable only because it is such a disjointed, trashy, mess of a film.)noiseredux wrote:Twitch of the Death Nerve is super boring.

I didn't realize Twitch and Bay of Blood were the same movie. But, definitely not the best Brava movie.prfsnl_gmr wrote:Agreed. The ending is also incredibly dumb (even by slasher movie standards). Old Italian horror films almost always have multiple titles. (For example, Black Sunday is also titles "The Mask of Satan" and "Revenge of the Vampire").Forlorn Drifter wrote:I didn't realize Twitch and Bay of Blood were the same movie. But, definitely not the best Brava movie.
Which is your favorite Bava film? I am very much a fan of his early horror films, and I consider them to be among the best horror films of all time.

Hollywood used to make cheesy over-the-top action flicks that were popular the world over, with caricature black-and-white good guy vs bad guys schticks. Then 2000 came and they tried adding depth by writing in a bit of social commentary on corruption and moral degradation of the supposedly good guy bits. Traffic was good for that, whereas Sabotage glorifies violence just for the hell of it.

I'd have to go for either Black Sabbath or Kill Baby Kill. I haven't seen all of his stuff though, so that could change.prfsnl_gmr wrote:Old Italian horror films almost always have multiple titles. Had a code for a free DVD rental from the Redbox machine and got this:

Had its moments but overall I felt as though its runtime could have been trimmed to a leaner 90 minutes as opposed to its released 110 minutes.

Finally got around to seeing The Raid 2. And all I can say is...
. I loved it, definitely one of the best action/martial arts movies I've seen in a very long time.
