Not a classic final by any means but a hell of a goal to settle it. Well done, Goetze. Calm finish after so many players had fluffed it in front of goal.
Argentina could have won this in 90mins but couldn't keep their cool. Bit too reliant on Messi. When Biglia tried passing it to Messi when he could have shot that pretty much summed it up.
Nice to see Blatter getting booed as well. I hope he gets the message that FIFA aren't forgiven just because this tournament was fantastic.
Gut gemacht, Deutschland!
Edit: Messi as player of the tournament? Not 100% convinced of that.
Worst Akinfeev,
Sergio Ramos, Pepe, David Luiz, Assou-Ekotto
Gerrard, Henderson, Palacios, Song
Cavani, Fred
Bench: Casillias, Jagielka, Lugano, Paulinho, Costa, Hulk
Manager: Woy Hodgson and his massive paycheck.
(Worst is closer to under performing tbh. Otherwise it'd just be Honduras' entire team with Gerrard in midfield and Fred up front. Fred is the worst player I have ever seen in a world cup semi-final).
AFAIK, first national team that wins the World Cup six times (another three) gets to keep it, just like Brazil kept the Jules Rimet trophy for being the first to win it three times.
I'm just glad this WC is over now, it was exhausting. They can set up another World Cup two months from now and I'll be ready.

By the way, guys, Argentina STILL have less World Cups than Pelé.
Food for thought.
They also conceded 6 less goals to Germany than Brazil
Shame they don't give out trophies for goal differential these days
(I'm in Rio. Argentines in the streets tried to make fun of the 7-1, but we're already over it - on Tuesday it was painful, now it's just funny -, so we just poked fun of their 20 years without a single, miserable, international title. )
