I recently picked up Arkanoid: Doh it Again for $8 boxed and complete. I've limited my collecting to very specific titles and couldn't pass up this deal.
Re: How Is Your SNES Gaming Going?
Whoa, I got out of the game for a few months. What the hell happened to The Adventures of Batman and Robin?!
Re: How Is Your SNES Gaming Going?
So I recently played Road Runner's Death Valley Rally again. I had only rented it once before when it came out.
Observations -
- ICOM Simulations developed this? Seriously? Outside of their point and click adventure series, I've not seen anything else they developed outside of that.
- The platforming is absolutely terrible. It's too bad because the graphics were very faithful to the cartoons.
- Cheap hits abound.
I don't change opinions about games I played often, but this is one of them.

Sweet deal. While I don't care THAT much about having the box due to space issues (I do like the box art though), a manual would be nice, since I can't even find a @#$%^ .pdf scan of it online as of yet.
Also, whenever I see the title, I can only think of one thing:

If you remind me a bit down the road maybe I can make some time to scan mine. I'll forget though if not reminded.MyNameIsVince wrote: Sweet deal. Pulled off a double-loop clear on Hyperzone yesterday.

The game stops giving extra lives after you acquired all the ships. I had 2 left, I may have been able to do a third, but having the best ship means just charge blasts and get nearly every point object on each subsequent loop.

Diving into Donky Kong Country. I am so spoiled by the Wii remake with its autoplay mode and save at each level. Gaaah, I hate how the SNES only has one save per world! I also wish older worlds could be replayed.

Has any one seen the SNES homebrew game Classic Kong?

It's looks pretty good. I haven't played it yet. I've been too lazy to put the ROM on my flash cart.
You CAN play previous worlds, that's what Funky Flights is for!
Here's a tip: Let's say you beat the boss at the end of world 1. Before going into world 2, go back into world 1 and save. Then use Funky's Flights to go to world two. Repeat this after each world. Once you go into a new world, you wont be able to save until you reach Kandy or Funky (and travel back to a previous world). But once you have access to either, you can save as often as you like!

You can save as often as you like so long as you have access to Kandy or Funky.CRTGAMER wrote:Diving into Donky Kong Country. Re: How Is Your SNES Gaming Going?
Thanks for clearing that up. I thought there was a way to save and play the previous worlds. I remember now that's the trick I always used to save, especially entering new worlds, it's perfect for saving from the last boss to the next save point in the new world.Ziggy587 wrote:You CAN play previous worlds, that's what Funky Flights is for!
