PSP INFO NEEDED

Post by everydayJOE »

I'm thinkin about buying a god of war red psp brand new. I know the psp has some good quality games but not very many of them. One of my main questions is is it worth it getting one this late in the generation? I also have no clue about the custom firmwares involved with it. I want to have some emulators on it to play some NES, SNES, GENESIS games on it. I have an ipod touch that I use to have jailbroken and enjoyed it very much before the app store came out which I feel having it jailbroken is not worth it.
Please provide LOTS of information on the psp. Thanks! :D

Go to psp-hacks.com and try out some of the stuff. You need a crash course on the PSP.

there is no info you need that is not available through google or pspmod.com

you can start by looking for a magic memory stick and pandora battery (both easliy made or obtained). you should be able to find your way from there.

I was able to mod my psp and get emulators going without making a single message board post anywhere. I was also able to dump all the games I own to the memory stick. not trying to run you away from here, just saying, seek and ye shall find. The SNES emulator can be a bit slow, Don't expect too much there, but most of the other EMU's available are fantastic.

Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.
Consoles: I have too much stuff
Arcade: No seriously, I have too much stuff. Someone grab a shovel and dig me out of my basement.

It would be choas if these statements auto locked threads.

i can't recommend the psp enough. With little support all its life but being late in the lifespan there are quite a few good games out there. Best of all they are cheap.

Also- emulation is super easy. I'm running SNES, NEO-GEO, and ps1 on it. All run perfectly.

And if you are used to the DS, the PSP will visually blow you away. The thing is a visual powerhouse.
